Description
This assignment asked that we create a children's book. We had two choices of applications to use; iBooks Author or Book Creator. I worked with both but found that I liked Book Creator through the IPad best. The book needed to include both ten pages of text, audio and images. I decided to write my Ebook on my niece Kasidy Leigh. It follows her through images and my account of her first few steps. In the latter half of the book there are also a couple interviews of my niece now. In writing the book I had a younger audience in mind but the text might require the book to be read to students.

Reflection
Making this Ebook is one of my favorite experiences this quarter. I felt like a real author, making the story line, locating appropriate images and making it all flow. I really liked how in an Ebook you can add audio or video components to engage the reader beyond the text. I think the interview with my niece would not have had the same touch if it was written as text instead of video.
In my future classroom I can see me using this project again. If I am lucky enough to have Ipads for my students I would be sure to get the book creator program again. It was so easy to use! This would be such a fun project for students after they have finished writing a personal narrative or their own fairy tale. The one thing that I would like to add in my future Ebooks is a recording of the text being read.
If I were to do this with a class it would be easy to customize to address students abilities. If students can write but do not like to or cannot read aloud they can just type their story. Whereas students that can read but cannot write can have their story typed while they record their voice reading.
